Accessibility

At the National Museum of Natural Sciences (MNCN-CSIC) we work to make our facilities and activities increasingly accessible to everyone, always under the premise of Design for All. The groups we work with include people with cognitive, motor and/or sensory disabilities; people with severe and long-term mental illness; people with neurodegenerative diseases, people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), hospitalized children and refugees.

Accessible tours and activities

Admission to the museum is free for people with a certificate of disability. In addition, the museum has a system of magnetic loops and tactile stations to facilitate an autonomous visit to the exhibits.
The MNCN offers adapted activities, write us (accesibilidad@mncn.csic.es) to know the schedule and conditions of visit in this link.

  • Benches distributed along the corridors for visitors to rest.
  • Elevators and an adapted restroom on floor -1.
  • Access ramp at the main door of the building.
  • Tactile stations in the permanent and temporary exhibitions.

The Geology building has:
