My research focuses on applying landscape ecology to understand multitrophic interactions within ecosystems. I have conducted experiments at both laboratory and agroecosystem scales, studying key interactions such as plant-natural enemy-herbivore, plant-virus-vector, and plant-virus-vector-natural enemy. My approach is based on the theoretical framework of ecosystem services, particularly biological control, to assess how natural areas and agricultural diversification influence arthropods and plant viruses. These studies aim to explore the effects of land-use multifunctionality and the role of heterogeneous landscapes at different spatial scales on ecosystem services, contributing to sustainable agricultural practices.
